On the Road to Healing
As a part of a treatment plan for acute and chronic wounds, the resources available at Salt Lake Wound Care and Hyperbaric Medicine will set you on the road to healing through the use of personalized conventional care, in addition to modern techniques.
WHAT IS A PROBLEM WOUND?
Salt Lake Wound Care and Hyperbaric Medicine provides care for a broad spectrum of problem wounds; that is, wounds that don’t heal like normal wounds. The term “wound” is used to describe any injury that causes a break in the skin, including injuries, ulcers, surgeries, and more. Some examples of problem wounds are: venous stasis ulcer, pressure ulcers, diabetic ulcers, non-healing surgical wounds, and radiation damage (internal problems that develop in a small percentage of cancer survivors several years after treatment).
Our Specialists are trained in diagnosing and treating all types of problem wounds; we use state-of-the-art equipment and wound dressings specifically tailored for each patient’s needs.
