A little about Salt Lake Wound Care & Hyperbaric Medicine…

Salt Lake Wound Care and Hyperbaric Center (SLWC) is a multi-disciplinary clinic providing advanced care for chronic or acute wounds resulting from trauma, surgery, pressure, venous insufficiency, and problem wounds resulting from other diseases. I suffered a mild stroke Jan. ’10 and was looking for alternative recovery and preventive treatments. I came across several cases of stroke victims that received beneficial results from hyperbaric chamber treatments and contacted IHC/LDS Hospital who is currently conducting a hyperbaric oxygen therapy in stroke brain injury (HYBOBI)FDA Phase II trial. I didn’t qualify for the trial and was referred to SLWC for a series of single chamber oxygen treatments during Mar/Apr ’10. Results were increased mental awareness & capacity as well as sensory awareness including vision, hearing, speech, & increased sensation in damaged nerve in leg from prior incident. The staff is very professional and I would recommend SLWC for immediate stroke recovery treatment.

I have had a chance to see some family members be treated at SL Wound Care and I can honestly say that this is the best place you could go to in the Salt Lake Valley. The staff from the front office, medical assistants, techs, and doctors are all family oriented and do a very good job with the diabetic wounds that I saw being treated. I would highly recommend this place if you have any problem wounds or family members that have diabetic wounds like mine.
